Engage youth through social media
Facilitate youth-led creation of short-form videos (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels) showcasing local career opportunities, lifestyles, and trade professions to increase awareness, understanding, and exploration of careers. Measure impact through social media analytics.
Develop a centralized career pathway website
Create an interactive website featuring county-specific career pathways, funding sources, typical wages, and other relevant information. Establish direct links from short-form videos to the website.
Equip educators and service providers with tools and information on career pathways
Train middle and high school educators and service providers to leverage digital tools, career maps, and advising to guide youth in identifying and pursuing viable career pathways.
Expand career coaching access
Advocate for the implementation of career coaching in every school division/district within the STRONG ACC region, ensuring equitable access to high-quality coaching for students exploring career options.
Expand supported and second-chance employment
Creating opportunities for all young people to succeed in their career journey, regardless of their starting point
